I fell in love with this restaurant. I knew nothing about Afghan food, and to say the least, I was seduced. Given the price range, I'd recommend it for an evening meal.<\/p>\n

The all-wooden restaurant has a certain charm about it, and had aroused my curiosity several times before I ended up eating there. The interior isn't very large, but it can still accommodate fairly large groups, and it adds an intimate touch to the meal.<\/p>\n

The staff are very friendly and take the time to explain the menu and the different dishes. For me, it was \"Kofta Chalaw\", a beef dumpling in a spicy tomato sauce, and I can also highly recommend their lamb shank, which was delicious. An important detail, and one that pleases a big eater like me, the dishes are really copious, so don't bite off more than you can chew, even if everything looks good.<\/p>\n

It may sound strange, but what really stood out for me was their trio of spiced rice dishes, which were an explosion of flavors in the mouth. I'd never tasted anything like it, because unlike traditional spices that sting\/burn the mouth, this was not the case at all, but rather a perfectly balanced combination of different tastes. A real delight.<\/p>\n

As you can see, I can only recommend a visit!<\/p>\n

A small note: the restaurant is a \"bring your own wine\" establishment.<\/p>\n
