Description
Easy homemade pizza dough! Quick to make, but needs a long resting time (6h).
Ingredients
- 500 gr flour Ideally T55
- 1/2 cc sugar
- 2 cs holive oil
- 300 mL eat
- 2 cc salt
- 25 gr lbaker's knife fraîche (or 8 g dried baker's yeast)
Instructions
-
Take a large bowl. Pour in the flour. Make a small hole in the middle and pour in the sugar. Make a second well on one side and pour in the yeast.
-
Mix with a fork
-
Add salt
-
Add the water in batches, about a quarter of the water, stir, then another quarter, stir, etc...
-
Once all the water has been incorporated into the dough, start kneading energetically.
-
Pour in the olive oil and knead again for 2-3 minutes.
-
Leave to stand for 10 minutes, covered with a damp cloth.
-
Knead the dough again for 10-15 minutes until it is soft, smooth and non-sticky.
-
Shape your dough balls (2 identical balls for two normal pizzas, one for a large pizza, or many more if you want to make mini-pizzas).
-
Place the balls in a bowl and leave to rest, covered with a damp cloth, for 1-4 hours. The dough should double in volume.
-
Your pasta is now ready to use. You can roll it out by hand so as not to deflate it too much, then garnish it and put it in the oven for about twenty minutes at 240 C (465F). You can also put your pasta balls in the freezer, wrapped in cling film, for later reuse.
Notes
If you want to use a frozen pasta, I recommend thawing it the day before in the fridge. The dough will keep for a relatively long time.
